Verdigris and Recurve Deliver Efficient Access to Demand Flexibility Markets

We're pleased to announce our participation in the Peak FLEXmarket, an early marketplace pilot program for load shifting away from times of peak demand. The program enables property owners and managers to access demand response programs run by electric utilities.

Demands on the grid are growing. When grid stress is high, a utility can increase supply by turning to fossil fuels. Or it can pay customers to reduce their kW consumption. Demand response programs address this: utility companies incentivize customers to cut energy use (kWh) during peak periods.

We recently introduced the Verdigris Energy Network, where a network of Verdigris-monitored buildings operates as a virtual power plant. These buildings supply flexible MW capacity back to the grid during peak shaving events. The grid avoids fossil fuel generation, and customers earn incentive payments for shifting their load.

The Peak FLEXmarket connects utility incentive programs with the customers who can benefit. Recurve's platform integrates behind-the-meter demand flexibility resources into the energy grid through performance-based markets. The Peak FLEXmarket operates throughout the MCE service area in Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Solano Counties in California.

The goal: make demand response participation straightforward and risk-managed, while Verdigris stays focused on delivering energy optimization (kWh reduction and peak shaving) for our customers.

We value working with companies like Recurve that share our commitment to sustainability and delivering customer value. Together we look forward to a win-win for our customers, the grid, and the planet.
